Richmonder Chelsea Higgs Wise is a social worker, activist, and feminist. We talk about her identity as a biracial woman and the privilege and challenges that come with it, her decision to go into activism full-time, the challenges of being a black woman activist, her biggest supporters and the two sides of liberal white women, Richmond vs. RVA, and how Virginia has shaped her into the woman she is today.
